Sebenarnya saya sudah agak lama mengikuti kelanjutan persidangan antara pihak PirateBay dengan pihak pemerintah Swedia. Namun yang paling mengagetkan terjadi beberapa hari yang lalu, dan efeknya masih terasa sampai sekarang. Fasilitas Tracker yang ada di PirateBay di-offline-kan secara tidak langsung. Kok bisa? Ternyata ISP yang melayani PirateBay ini diancam denda sebesar 500.000 kroner (sekitar $70,600 USD) jika tetap memberikan layanan.

Akibat kematian tracker terbesar ini, banyak torrent yang tidak jalan. D’oh! Apakah nasib PirateBay ini akan sama dengan almarhum tracker-tracker pendahulunya? Kita tunggu saja kelanjutan kisahnya.
